This Privacy Policy explains how PackWalked (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use the PackWalked mobile app, API and website (packwalked.com).

1) Who we are

PackWalked is a service for professional dog walkers to track walks, attach photos to dogs, and send owner updates.

2) Information we collect

Account information

  • Email address and basic profile details (e.g. name) you provide.
  • Authentication tokens/session data used to keep you signed in.

Walk data (created by you)

  • Walk start/end times, duration and route (GPS coordinates) when you record a walk.
  • Dogs, owners, packs, notes and “events” you enter (e.g. pee/poo counts).

Photos and files

  • Photos you capture or upload and assign to dogs/walks.
  • Associated metadata needed to display and send those photos (e.g. file name, content type).

Support communications

  • Messages you send us via the support form or email (including your email address).
  • Technical context included with support requests (e.g. device/platform, IP address, user agent).

Website usage

  • Basic logs required to operate the site (e.g. request timestamps, error logs).

3) How we use your information

  • Provide the service: recording walks, storing data, generating reports and sending owner updates.
  • Security: preventing fraud/abuse and protecting accounts.
  • Support: responding to your requests and troubleshooting issues.
  • Service improvement: understanding common issues and improving reliability and UX.

4) Legal bases (UK GDPR)

  • Contract: we process data to provide the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure and improving it.
  • Consent: where required (e.g. marketing/waitlist emails).

5) Sharing your information

We only share information with service providers needed to run PackWalked, for example:

  • Email delivery: to send emails you initiate (e.g. owner updates, password resets, support replies).
  • Hosting & storage: to securely store your data and photos.

We do not sell your personal information.

6) Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion (see below).
